Lorna and Sam Thomas Mother and son, descendants of the People of The Great Pipe, Cayuga, are self-taught. Utilizing lush velvet backgrounds, their exquisite style of beadwork is found in Iroquois Country. Often strawberries, floral and leaf designs find their way into the item. Strawberries were the Creator's first gift of fruit to the Aboriginal people. |
